Hullo,

Draco, how are you settling in to your impersonation?

Gents, Hydra's heard part of this already but: I don't think I'm going to get to Corbyn this way. For one thing he's too careful. Always Apparates directly where he's going, never eats in public restaurants, and when he is in public he's never alone. Moreover I can only maintain surveillance on one location at a time. Now that Draco's at the Elysian, I may change over and find a place to set up outside Ouroboros, instead.

What I think is needed are some good strategies for creating circumstances in which it's possible to take him unawares--well, anyone, really, but in particular Corbyn for right now. I don't want to ask Rachel to commit ever more resources, what, as you and the others all have quite enough to do already. But it's clearly going to be necessary to change one's methods every time, as their people are dashed effective at adapting and tightening security. Not that that's surprising, but it does make things rather inconvenient.

If he lived alone, I'd chance trying to dismantle his wards, or bluff my way in. That might well work for another sort of target. Corbyn has a family, what.

Diversions or commotions requiring them to respond is a trick that can only work so often. Perhaps I should take a leaf out of Draco's book and find a barber, masseuse, aesthetist or other service employee to replace who can get me within arm's length of the chap.

Sounds reasonable.

I don't know where Corbyn goes, but a barbers' called Sharps on Aldwych was popular with the Aurors. That may've been just because it was convenient, but it might be worth trying.

Not sure they'd keep records on their customers, except in the barbers' heads, y'know. If they do, then maybe with the cloak you could get in there and find out if he's one of theirs. I mean, it could take loads of time and for nothing, staking the place out if it turned out he doesn't use them. Even if he does, if he's just been in, who knows how long you'd have to wait before he comes again. Unless he's the kind that goes for a shave every morning, but I reckon that's not Corbyn.

For cobblers, there's Lobb's or Fairwick's. High-end tailors, you might try Tunis Twilfit, Plumford and Nickle, or Hardy's. Then there's Asprey's and Garrad's for watches, jewelry, and such.

Not sure every last one of those places is still open nowadays, but I'm sure at least some of them are.

Sort of the same problem with those, though.

I mean, at least he probably goes to the barber's once a month or once a fortnight, even, if you're lucky. But how often does any particular bloke go to his tailor's? or the bootmaker's? They'd be terrific places to catch him if you knew he'd be going there before November, yeah?

Maybe there's a way to plant the idea he needs something from one of them, but if you've got that close to him, you could probably take him down then and there.
