I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up To No Good

Professor Froissart finally sat us down this morning and gave us the itinerary for the tour, over holidays.
I don't think I shall be able to get away for Quidditch, what? They've got us well occupied.
But there are several days when I think you lot are invited to come along--and didn't your Professor Sinistra say as much? Some museum days and such, probably well boring but it'd be more interesting with mates along, what? It's April the 2nd, 8th and 12th. Any of you planning to go?
And there's the 7th, as well, when we're to see a camp. Or they say we are, anyway. I don't expect they want too many people along on that, however.
Terry, they've told us we'll be in Lincoln on the 9th. I don't suppose there's any way to get to you, but perhaps it'd be possible to leave something where you could get it? If there's anything you need that we can get? Perhaps they'll show us where Lincoln Castle used to be visible, what?

Date: 2012-03-25 04:54 am (UTC)I heard someone say that YPL students could apply to go along on part of the trip. I'll apply, I guess; it'll be nice to see mates, as you said.

Date: 2012-03-26 01:23 am (UTC)Showing loyal, yeah? And seeing mates, too. That's a bit of all right.

Date: 2012-03-26 01:39 am (UTC)Showing loyal, yes. Though it shouldn't be too difficult if one's only going to an amusement park, what?
When were you planning to have people over for Quidditch--I suppose one can simply change the date so you could still come along for the other days.

Date: 2012-03-26 02:38 am (UTC)I asked to go to the camp, actually. I mean, my dad works with Muggles and Muggleborn Labour and all, so I know some about all that. But I haven't actually ever got to see a camp, probably for a lot of reasons, but anywiz, I thought I should go if I can. And I doubt there'll be loads of people who really want to go. Do you think?
So, yeah. I asked to go to the camp and any of the others that haven't filled up yet.

Date: 2012-03-26 02:53 am (UTC)I say, I'm surprised they've invited you lot to as many days as it seems but then, I suppose if they're encouraging us to make all sorts of connections and friends here, what, then it stands to reason they'd try to make sure we've the opportunity to spend time together.
I rather think the point is more to keep us all looking too closely at how things really are, and going off on our own and such. Like the tour I was given when I came to visit before the Quidditch Cup, what? It's just going to be more of that.
But they can take us to an amusement park and no one shall have to pretend it's fun.

Date: 2012-03-26 01:36 am (UTC)And I think they're letting a few of you go, as well, because--well, because Hydra wanted to come along on that part, what. I honestly don't know if they had already decided about the other things. But it would be good to have other mates along.

Date: 2012-03-26 01:42 am (UTC)I wonder what Hydra will think.
Anyway, I told Professor Siz I'd like to go along and that I wasn't fussed about which trip (or trips).

Date: 2012-03-26 02:33 pm (UTC)Hydra...well, she was curious, as I said to Ron, and she also thought that if her mother got wind of the thing, it's not the sort of thing she could object to Hydra wanting to see. But there's also--Hydra's really quite surprising, you know. One thinks of her as awfully delicate, what, but just when one comes to believe it's best to shield her or that she's going to be troubled, that's when she comes right out with some well brilliant spell or just stiffens her back and gets on with the thing, what? I say, I think she's a good deal braver than I am, in point of fact. And she never whinges even when she's good call for it.
I suppose one has to learn to be well strong, in that family, what?
Well, I hope to see some of you, anyway, and to hear what Fred and George have cooked up for their birthday.

Date: 2012-03-28 03:30 am (UTC)I've been thinking. If I ever get away from the castle, well, it'll be because I've found a way to escape. Which means I'll be on the run from the git. If he isn't dead already. I'll need stuff to help me blend in, stuff to give me a chance to make it on my own.
I reckon they'll show you where the castle was. The Castle Road leads up to the East gate, and Drury Lane curves around the Observatory Tower, on the corner. There's a little glade of trees at the corner of the curve, with a clearing in the middle. Could you bring something for me, and maybe bury it in the glade there, if you can slip away without being seen? I dunno. A book bag or a knapsack, or something like that? With maybe a change of clothes. I don't have anything decent, and I'll need to escape notice.

Date: 2012-03-28 03:38 am (UTC)Jolly good show! Yes, that's just the sort of thing we could arrange, I'm sure we could do.
We can put all sorts of things in for you and yes, I'm well confident that I could get away long enough to plant it, what.
I say, you'll need more than clothes. Some sort of bedroll, and some money, I should think.
Perhaps if the others get me items this week I could pick up anything else we're missing in New London at the weekend before our tour begins.

Date: 2012-03-28 03:41 am (UTC)You'll have to mark it somehow where you've buried it so I'll be able to find it. Maybe Fred and George might have an idea about that.
Thanks. Honest. It'll help a lot. Knowing it's out there, waiting for me.
