Hullo,
I say, I'm all right. Madam Pomfrey's given me a compress to hold on the leg for the time being but she pronounced it a clean wound, shouldn't take her a moment to heal it.
She hasn't got a moment at present, what.
But everything seems to be settling down. I believe the threat to the castle is at an end, though I should all stay snug in your common rooms if I were you!

Private Message to Professor Dolohov
Are you quite all right? I say, I'm ever so sorry my shot hit you instead of that brigand, what.
And I know, I ought to have gone straight to the common room with the others but--I say, I simply couldn't allow you to go off alone like that. Not without some sort of backup.
I suppose I ought to have known my limits.
I do hope everyone else is unscathed.
If I might ask, what on earth happened here today? Why were we attacked?

Re: Private Message to Professor Dolohov
I am still attempting to discover what happened. I will tell you what I can when I know it.
Re: Private Message to Professor Dolohov
But sir, it's because of me that that wizard got away. If I hadn't hit you by accident you could have finished him off, I'm sure of it.
Bones says they're calling me a hero in the sett. I can't explain to them how well untrue that is.

Re: Private Message to Professor Dolohov
Please do not fall into the trap of self-recrimination; it is exceptionally difficult for two people to fight in tandem in close quarters, without having practised doing so, and not get in each others' way at least somewhat. That it was you striking me rather than the reverse was simply chance and greater experience. Had I found you more hindrance than help I would have sent you away, as would I have done had I thought you incapable of defending yourself successfully, but you performed very well.
There are not many students I would have allowed to join me in that fight; Severus Snape is an exceptionally dangerous man and a fugitive from Our Lord's justice, who is a powerful opponent for even the most seasoned duellist. His time in Azkaban has clearly only made him more dangerous. I do not know how long he has been impersonating Milland, but we will do our best to find out.
I will stop by tomorrow to see how you are doing. We can discuss the possibility of further training in the future, should you wish it; I would be pleased to have you fight at my side again, should it become necessary, and at the very least you should know more techniques for fighting side-by-side with someone without getting in each others' way.
I am very glad you are not irreparably injured.
Re: Private Message to Professor Dolohov
I've been meditating most nights, what, to get rest....
Oh, yes. Traiming. Training. Would be jolly smashing. One feels as if one could be of use.
That waz Smape? Oh, I say.
Jack. Jack's come to see me. Hullo, Jack.
Sorry. Yes. Training. Thank you very much sir, I know what a complimemt that is from you.

Re: Private Message to Professor Dolohov
I know that you have trained in tandem duelling in CCF, but if you will recall, I also taught you all that the reason Aurors and Our Lord's Council train so often in tandem duelling, and with as wide a range of partners as possible, is because one must do a great deal of training to have a hope of doing so successfully in the heat of an actual battle. It takes years for the skill to be second nature, Mr Finch-Fletchley. Do not berate yourself for a single slip, particularly when you are not accustomed to fighting for your life rather than for a duellist's trophy.
If you cannot sleep, I am certain Madam Pomfrey can provide you with a sleeping draught. Get some rest and allow your body to heal. We can discuss matters further tomorrow, or in a day or two.
You did very well today.
Order Only
I'm well glad you got out of there. My leg's going to be fine.
I say...I'm so sorry about the Headmistress. And for those to whom it matters, Professor Lestrange.
Mr Nott's here in the hospital wing, demanding to be patched up, what. That's why Matron's had to let me sit while she works on him. He's quite furious about his son.
I can't say I sympathise wholly.
Are Hermione and Draco all right? And everyone else?
-Justin
Re: Order Only
I'm glad you're okay.
Re: Order Only
DuHydra,I don't know how much it helped, what. Or will do.
Has your mother returned?
-J
Re: Order Only
And, at some point, she'll decide that it was all very convenient that there was a Sirius sighting just as Snape decided to show himself to everyone in the castle.
This isn't over yet.
Order Only: Private Message to Hydra
But
We can't let that happen again. Sorry. Selfish of my. Me.
Sleepy. Matron gave me something. For the pain, what. Can't quite sleep, tho. Though.
Thinking about you
Sorry. Shouldn't. Blame the postion, what.
Love yu. More than ver.

Re: Order Only: Private Message to Hydra
I don't care right now, but you're right. Not again ever.
I love you so much, you know my handwriting well enough to read this, don't you? goodnight goodnightPrivate message to F-F

Oh, yes, I shall be quite fine in a few minutes. Matron's given me a little something for the pain, and I'm holding pressure on the wound.
I followed Professor Dolohov to 'help' him defend the castle. We duelled Mr Snape, and I was able to interfere just enough to allow Mr Snape to get away. Mr Snape cast a spell to cut the back of my calf, what, when I signalled him that his Polyjuice had worn off. As I went down, I turned my wand to the side, so that the curse I'd been casting hit Professor Dolohov. I've told him I was aiming for Mr Snape, of course.
Mr Nott's in a strop over Teddy, what. And I think Mr Malfoy's arrived but it's hard to tell from the way Mr Nott's raving.

Re: Order Only: Private message to F-F
That's bloody brilliant.
Re: Private message to F-F
Yes, I shall be quite fine.
I saw figures approaching the castle, what, and I went to tell Professor Dolohov. He ran off in pursuit but I say, I just couldn't let him go alone, what. Even if he is a great Councilwizard and perfectly capable.
They're saying that the man we duelled was Snape, yes. I say, it wasn't as if I thought about what I was doing, or I'd have been well cleverer to hide somewhere!
-Justin
Re: Private message to F-F
Good on you. I guess. Next time I think you should leave that to Councilwizards and Gryffindors and hide under a table. I'm glad you weren't hurt worse!
no subject
You're something of a hero to the school right now.
no subject
A hero? No, no, not at all. Nothing could be further from the truth, what!

I suspect this will go quite a long way to earning Professor Dolohov's trust.

Re: Order Only: Private Message to Justin
I'm glad you're as well as may be.
If I'm a little obnoxious about House pride over the next few days--I hope you'll forgive me. It's one way to deflect awkward questions.
